- You can search all properties to see what people are placing in their ads and to learn about your competition.
- People who are interested in your property will add your property to their "Watch List" and they will be added into your "Followers" area.
- All Followers of your property can send you messages, propose times to view the property and you can offer them the property for rent.
- If you or the potential renter requests a viewing of the property, and you both accept the time of the viewing then the potential renter will be shown in the "Booked Property Viewings".
- At any time you are able to decline the potential renter and they will be shown in the "Declined Potential Renters" area. You can avoid those uncomfortable moments of talking to someone you declined, by not making your phone number available.
- If you have documentation to be completed for the rental process, then you need to provide this to the potential renter before offering them the property.
- At any time you are able to offer the property to a potential renter, if they accept your offer, then the place will be no longer available to others. If the potential renter declines your offer, then they will be shown in the Declined Potential Renters area.
- If you wish to withdraw your property at any time, you will need to update the profile of the property to Withdrawn.
How do I change the price of a place
To change the price of the place you are renting, you cannot have anyone following the property. If you wish to change the price of the property, then you will have to decline all people following your place. Make sure you really want to change the price of the property.
How do I upload photos of a Place
If you are a flatmate finder or just wishing to let a flat or a house then when you create the property profile you can upload 6 property images.The first property image is the picture of the place displayed when people do a search. You are able to change property pictures after you log into yChatter, by selecting View My Properties and then selecting Edit Property. After this you are able to delete one or all of the property photos.

How long does it take to rent a property out
Everyone has a different experience on yChatter however the more details you provide about the property, the sooner it will be rented. It can take as little as a day to a month to rent out a place. If your place is taking a while to rent then you need to consider if the price is too high, or if you have placed too many restrictions on potential renters, and if your photos of the property are good enough to attract interest.
